Crystal

Crystal in Tibetan Beliefs and Art
In Tibetan Buddhism, crystal is not merely a gem and work of art. Tibetans call it Bodhisattva Stone. Regarded as one of the Seven Buddhist Treasures, it is widely applied in ritual implements, art forms and pilgrimages.
Practice Ritual Implements: Prayer beads made of crystals are important practice tools for monks, especially when practicing certain specific Dharma gates.
Pilgrimage Site: The Duoma Raoxie Crystal Cave is a famous pilgrimage site in Tibet. It is said that sincere believers who circumambulate it thirteen times can wash away the sins of a lifetime.
Sacred Purification: In Tibetan tradition, crystals and other gemstones are often used in the decoration of sacred sites, and are believed to have the magical power of eliminating negative energy and reorganizing internal order.
